Operator / Responsible Party

The 2ndBook service is provided by Ilnur Stybayev, an independent individual developer (not a legal entity). 2ndBook is a non-commercial tool that lets users find and contact each other directly. The operator is not a party to any transaction between users, does not hold, transfer or retain funds, and charges no commission. Any purchase, sale or exchange happens directly between users and outside the operator's responsibility. Data protection contact: support@secondbook.kz.

1. Introduction

SecondBook respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for responding to notices of alleged copyright infringement.

2. Our Role

SecondBook is a personal library management application that allows users to:

• Store and organize their own digital books
• Synchronize content between their own devices
• Temporarily store files on our servers for cross-device transfer

We act as a technical service provider and do not distribute content between different users.

3. Reporting Copyright Infringement

Your notice must include:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work
2. Identification of the infringing material (file fingerprint, name)
3. Your contact information
4. A statement of good faith belief
5. A statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury
6. Your signature

4. Our Response

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will:

• Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
• Investigate and remove infringing material within 24-48 hours
• Notify the user about the removal
• Document all actions taken

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification with:

• Identification of the removed material
• A statement under penalty of perjury about good faith belief in error
• Consent to jurisdiction of courts in Almaty, Kazakhstan
• Your contact information and signature

7. Technical Limitations

• Files on servers are stored temporarily (for device-to-device handoff) or as a cloud copy and are auto-deleted after their retention or a long inactivity period, or upon a rights holder request
• We cannot remove content during P2P transfers between devices
• We cannot remove content stored locally on user devices
